The Chai Wan District Scout Association of Hong Kong has a rich history. It began in 1929. The association purchased Barker’s Bungalow for HK 16000. This became the Chai Wan Campsite. This campsite hosted the first Wood Badge training course in 1936. The Chai Wan Campsite played a vital role in the development of scouting in the area.
