Here stands the SGH Center for Innovative Space. This modern building embodies the spirit of progress and collaboration. It officially opened on December 3 2024. The Centrum Przestrzeni Innowacyjnej SGH is located at Batorego 8 in Warsaw.
The four-story building spans over 9000 square meters. Its design comes from Professor Bolesław Stelmach’s studio. The Centrum Przestrzeni Innowacyjnej SGH meets high standards for studying and teamwork. Inside are 24 classrooms that can accommodate almost 1000 students. There is also a 135-person lecture hall. You’ll find coworking spaces a cafeteria and offices too. These offices serve units think tanks and business departments.
Rector Piotr Wachowiak called it SGH’s first major investment in 18 years. He noted the modern building is perfect for teaching teamwork research projects and cultural activities.
Kanclerz Marcin Dąbrowski highlighted the building’s green features. The Centrum Przestrzeni Innowacyjnej SGH has a glass facade for natural light. A green roof and facade plants blend it with Park Pole Mokotowskie. Two large green walls inside improve air quality. They stretch from the basement to the roof.
Many distinguished guests attended the opening. These included government officials Warsaw city authorities and other university rectors. Minister of Science Dariusz Wieczorek praised the organizational effort. He wished students joy in the innovative center. Minister Tomasz Siemoniak an SGH alumnus recalled a former cafeteria on the site. He called the new building modern and a sign of SGH’s excellence.
The SGH Center for Innovative Space was completed in October 2024. It coincided with the start of the new academic year. The investment cost 160 million złoty.
The SGH Center for Innovative Space not only meets the needs of students and faculty. It also respects the environment. The green terraces on the roof provide a place to relax. They are among the trees of Pole Mokotowskie.

SGH plans another investment on the site of the former Klub Park. This new pavilion will feature workshop rooms an exhibition foyer a film studio and a public cafe. The cafe will be open to park visitors and local residents.
The building’s design features concrete glass and greenery. The SGH Center for Innovative Space was designed by Stelmach i Partnerzy Biuro Architektoniczne. The building has two underground floors and four above-ground floors. Common spaces services recreation and rest areas are on the first floor.
The SGH Center for Innovative Space includes teaching spaces on level -1 and the second floor. It offers 1000 seats in teaching rooms. Coworking spaces are available. Office space for university employees is on the second and third floors.
The facade features horizontal and diagonal beams with large windows. Concrete elements appear in various shapes textures and shades. The brick-red precast concrete matches the campus architecture. Inside lecture halls have raw concrete surfaces. Skylights illuminate the underground rooms.
Greenery is integral to the building’s design. There is a green roof with hidden technical infrastructure. Plants also grow in pots on the facade. Vertical gardens climb the interior staircases. These green walls improve air quality and regulate temperature. An intelligent BMS system manages the building’s operations. The SGH Center for Innovative Space integrates twenty-first-century solutions.
