One houses offices while the other offers residential apartments. Between these giants lies a plaza, a space for community and connection. The office tower, known as Central Place Tower, is a marvel of modern architecture. It stands an impressive 390 feet tall, its glass exterior reflecting the sky. This tower offers a unique perspective on the nation’s capital. It houses the Observation Deck at Central Place. From here, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Washington D.C. and the surrounding area. This observation deck, spanning 12,000 square feet, offers a 360-degree vista. Imagine taking in the iconic monuments, the lush green spaces, and the bustling city below. Central Place officially opened its doors on June 21, 2018, just in time for the summer solstice. The Observation Deck’s design is the work of Legends, the same firm behind the One World Observatory in New York City. Central Place is conveniently located near public transit, directly across from the Rosslyn Metro Station. It forms part of a larger complex, encompassing residential units, office spaces, retail areas, and a large open plaza. This revitalization project has brought new life to an area previously lacking in amenities and pedestrian activity. The Observation Deck features interactive exhibits called “Windows Into History”. Touchscreen monitors provide information about the sights. A hologram experience brings historical figures like Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony to life. A small cafe offers refreshments. Central Place is more than just a building. It’s a testament to the power of revitalization and the beauty of panoramic views.
