In 2005, the church relocated to this corner. It quickly became an integral part of the community. The Central Baptist Church of Camp Springs has a rich history, spanning from its origins in 1964 to the present day. The church’s mission is clear: “To seek lost Souls for Christ; to Edify the Saved; and to Glorify the Savior.” This mission is woven into the fabric of every service, every gathering, and every outreach program. Over the years, the Central Baptist Church of Camp Springs has been led by a series of devoted pastors. Dr. John A. Moore Sr. received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity in 1984. This honor recognized his dedication to educating others in the Gospel Ministry. Following Dr. Moore, Rev. John H. Parker became the pastor of the Central Baptist Church of Camp Springs in 1988. The current pastor, Rev. Anthony Burruss, has a deep history with the church. He became a licensed minister in 1991 and was ordained in 1998. He served as Assistant Pastor before being elected as Pastor in 2012. The Central Baptist Church of Camp Springs is more than just a place of worship.
