The Caverna del Piccolo Lanaro, also known by its cadastral number 2740, is nestled near the summit of Piccolo Lanaro, approximately 400 meters from the peak, in a south-southwesterly direction. The cave’s entrance lies conveniently close to the Mirko Škabar trail. This cave is more than just a hole in the ground. It’s a time capsule. The main cavern stretches 18 meters in length and expands to 10 meters in width. It’s easily accessible through entrance number one. A second entrance exists. It presents itself as a two-meter slide, adding a touch of adventure to your exploration. The entire cave system spans 24 meters horizontally and delves a meter deep. The total vertical drop, from the highest point to the lowest, measures a modest one meter, with the bottom resting at an altitude of 463 meters above sea level. Imagine venturing through the narrow passage, the cool air against your skin. Two entrances beckon. One, a conventional opening, the other, a natural slide into the earth’s embrace.
