“Looking for Luz” someone whispers. Today we explore Casa Espírita Luz do Evangelho. It stands as a beacon of spiritual assistance in São Paulo.
Casa Espírita Luz do Evangelho is more than just a building. It’s a community hub offering diverse activities. These activities aim to provide spiritual support and promote Kardecist principles.
Let’s delve into the activities that define Casa Espírita Luz do Evangelho. On Mondays, the Casa offers Fraternal Assistance by appointment. This provides individual support. Later on Mondays there is Bate Papo com Jesus. This translates to Chat with Jesus. It involves reading and discussing The Gospel According to Spiritism. This functions as group therapy. Also on Mondays, ESDE happens. This is a systematized study of Spiritist doctrine.
Tuesdays are dedicated to spiritual assistance. These sessions start at 7:30 PM. On Wednesdays, a private medium meeting occurs. On Wednesdays there is also online evangelism every day at 8:30 PM.
Thursdays feature a public lecture followed by spiritual treatment. There are also opportunities for passes and children’s evangelization. The Casa also holds a public lecture on the first or second Saturday of each month. Check their social media for date confirmation.
Casa Espírita Luz do Evangelho emphasizes charitable work. Every second Monday of the month is Kilo Day. Attendees contribute non-perishable food items. The Casa then assembles and distributes basic food baskets to families in need. Every last Sunday of the month the Casa prepares 150 lunch boxes for people in the streets. They deliver these with bread water candy and a spiritist message.
In addition to these regular activities, Casa Espírita Luz do Evangelho organizes philanthropic visits. They host blood donation campaigns. They also do bazaars and benefit teas. A book fair is also one of the activities of Casa Espírita Luz do Evangelho.
The Centro Espírita Laços Eternos inaugurated on March 1 1997 preceded Casa Espírita Luz do Evangelho. Its origins started ten years earlier. The Caravana da 8ª Turma do CEME-Rio Pequeno sought to open a care home. They also wanted to start a spirit center. Jonas Ozório who also led the 75 Turma de EAE of Genebra continued this work.
