In the end, Veronese and his art were such a force to be reckoned with, the Inquisition couldn’t stop him. Though a painter of grand scenes, it was also in this very house, Casa di Paolo Veronese, that he created smaller paintings, portraits, and even some stunning sketches that captured the beauty of the Venetian life around him.
