The Chan Chun Ha Charitable Trust Fund supported them. Each school received HK$2.5 million. This financial support led to the schools being named in honor of the trust.
The school’s creation faced delays. Originally planned to open in 1984, construction took longer than expected. Caritas Fanling Chan Chun Ha Secondary School finally opened its doors in 1988.
