The chapel’s patron, Saint Expeditus, was a Roman military commander martyred in Armenia in 303 AD. Legend says he had a vision urging him to convert to Christianity. He resisted at first. A raven, symbolizing procrastination, urged him to wait. Expeditus then crushed the raven, declaring “Hodie” (Today), signifying his immediate conversion. This act earned him the title of patron saint of urgent causes. The Capelania Militar de Santo Expedito offers Mass several times a week, including a special Mass for Saint Expeditus every 19th of the month. The chapel is open to the public, welcoming those seeking solace and divine intervention in their lives.
