“Life Island” is what I would name it. Penda China, a design team, imagined a dream-like mansion between mountain and sea. This structure would offer views stretching across the water to neighboring Hong Kong from Shenzhen in China.
Cap Island could become a self-contained environment. It would offer leisure facilities culture and even indoor gardens. The residence aims to create a healthy living space for all its guests. A roof garden allows people to exercise walk and relax. People could enjoy spectacular sea and mountain views. There is a super infinity swimming pool. It visually connects to the water it overlooks.
Inside “Life Island”, guests find three lobbies. One is in the basement. Another is on the first floor. The third is a three-floor sky lounge at the top. The ground floor is dedicated to commerce and culture. An art museum and public installations create an inspiring educational atmosphere. A healthy shopping center offers commercial and art spaces.
The design of the residential block was influenced by the palm tree. This local tropical plant has an organic shape. It follows mathematical logic. This ensures every residence offers 270-degree bay window views from their bedroom. This is true no matter the apartment size or location. Inhabitants are brought closer to nature through light-filled interiors. A “sunlight” room offers a space to bathe. It could also double as an indoor garden. This is thanks to its air-purifying microclimate.
Penda China designed “Life Island”. Sun Dayong and Wan Shuyan were the chief architects. The design date was 2018. The gross floor area is 100000m2. CCDI was the co-designer. ARUP was the structural consultant. This vision transforms Cap Island into an icon.
