Calvary Community Church started with Dr. Hank Lindstrom. He envisioned it as a vessel for the gospel. He called Calvary the little church with the big bark. What did he mean?
The church hosted the Bibleline radio show. Dr. Lindstrom answered questions live. It was unique. Few shows did that. It reached thousands. People learned that Jesus died for their sins. They understood salvation was a free gift. This knowledge changed lives.
After Dr. Lindstrom’s passing in 2008, Dr. Ralph “Yankee” Arnold became the pastor in 2009. He continued teaching the Bible. He emphasized salvation by grace. Thousands more found faith. The little church continued its big bark.
Dr. Arnold started Florida Bible College of Tampa in 2013. He continued Bibleline on WTBN Faith Talk AM and KLTT in Colorado. He resigned in December 2020 to start a new ministry.
Now, Pastor Jesse Martinez leads Calvary Community Church. He graduated from Florida Bible College of Tampa. He and his wife Kyla grew up at Calvary. They are committed to serving the Lord. They want to strengthen the church’s community outreach.
