Bundeena Community Church started in 1964. It wasn’t intended to be a church at first. The church emerged organically from a desire to help others. One woman’s actions inspired it all. She opened her home to those in need reflecting Matthew 25:35-40. This passage calls on people to feed the hungry give drink to the thirsty welcome strangers clothe the naked care for the sick and visit those in prison.
In the 1970s and 1980s Bundeena Community Church ran a live-in course. It was called Training School at Bundeena House. This course focused on practical Christian living. Since the mid-to-late 1980s Bundeena House has been used for hospitality. This ministry continues the church’s original mission.
