The parish bought the Blommensberg estate and opened a school in the existing buildings. They later built a grander schoolhouse, known as “Borgen,” in 1909. Alas, it was demolished in 1961, falling victim to the construction of the Essingeleden highway. Only a small charming yellow villa, lovingly nicknamed “Hundkojan,” survives from the original era.
In 1921, a majestic new building, nicknamed “Slottet” was constructed. Georg A. Nilsson, an architect of his time whose talent shines in the detail of many school buildings across the country, designed this structure. He adorned it with captivating details like roof ridges, Ionic columns, and an ornate wrought-iron school bell.
