Blacktown International Sportspark has witnessed history. A three-day cricket match between Australia and New Zealand was unfortunately abandoned. The pitch caused unpredictable bounce and severe cracking. Despite this setback it demonstrates the intense pressure of international competition. The high level of play created a unique moment in the park’s history.
The park’s sporting legacy is far-reaching. It has served as a training base for the Greater Western Sydney Giants. Its facilities have also hosted the Sydney Blue Sox. The Blacktown Spartans also make this their home ground. The various facilities include several soccer fields softball diamonds and an athletics track and field.
