Standing in front of the Biblioteca Civica Natalia Ginzburg, a vibrant community hub in the city of Torino, you can feel its energy buzzing around you. This library is named after the brilliant Italian writer, essayist, and translator Natalia Ginzburg, a prominent figure in 20th-century Italian literature. This beautiful library was inaugurated in 2013 in a space that previously housed the old Homeopathic Hospital. It was in this very courtyard that the library was built. The library is more than just a place to borrow books; it’s a place where people connect, learn, and celebrate the written word. It has 4,566 volumes, 753 DVDs, and 74 newspapers and magazines, offering a diverse collection for all tastes. This expansive space provides 44 reading and study places. It also includes one room dedicated to the Italian artist Mario Molinari. The library is located on Via Cesare Lombroso 16, a street that takes its name from the famous Italian psychiatrist who dedicated his life to criminal anthropology, a pioneering field that continues to inspire.
