Bert Burrows Park sits just north of Clovelly Beach. You can find it at 1-11 Ocean Street Clovelly. It offers more than just scenic views.

John Frederick Burrows served the North Ward from 1932 to 1937. The park’s dedication on May 2 1895 predates his service. It was later named in his honour.

From this high vantage point, the views are spectacular. Look around. You’ll see the coastline stretching in every direction. Walkers and joggers regularly use the wide pathways. They provide access to Bondi Beach further north.

Bert Burrows Park offers various amenities. There’s a free outdoor gym. An upgrade to the sports fields is planned. The park also features a sportsfield for rugby union and rugby league.

Dogs are welcome but must be leashed on the sports field. Golf practice is not allowed. Glass is also prohibited for safety.

The park is south of Waverley Cemetery. You can reach it via Ocean Street. Alternatively, use the walkway from Clovelly Beach or Bundock Park.

Bert Burrows Park is bounded by remnant vegetation to the east. To the south, there’s a cliff top overlooking Clovelly Bay. The Clovelly Bowling Club is also located within the park.

Imagine John Frederick Burrows visiting this park. Perhaps he enjoyed the views. Maybe he appreciated the community using the space. This park serves as a living memorial to his contributions.

Bert Burrows Park provides picnic tables. It also offers a scenic lookout. Toilets are available. Litter bins help keep the park clean. Sportsfield lights allow for evening activities.

Take a moment to appreciate the park’s dual purpose. It’s a recreational space and a tribute to a local figure. Bert Burrows Park connects us to both nature and community history.
