Question: Ever wondered what stands as a testament to faith enduring through time? Here, before us, is Belle View Baptist Church. Its story is one of resilience and community.

Belle View Baptist Church has a rich history. Its origins trace back to 1803. Initially, it was known as Middle Creek Baptist Church. The name came from a nearby stream. The first church building was a simple structure. It was made from logs cut right on the property.

Over the years, the church evolved. The log structure was replaced. First by a frame building, then by a brick meeting house. But disaster struck in 1876. A tornado destroyed the building. The congregation decided to relocate. They moved the church down the hill to Belleview.

The current building was constructed in 1903. Additions were made in 1948 and 1966. This is the building that stands before you today. In 1993, the Church celebrated its 190th anniversary. A stone marker was placed at the site of the original church.

Belle View Baptist Church is more than just a building. It is a community of faith. The church’s history reflects its commitment to the Gospel. The original twenty-three members started something special in 1803. They embraced God’s call. They sought fellowship with Him. They wanted to fulfill His Great Commission.

Today, Belle View Baptist Church continues that mission. It invites all to experience Christ’s love. It welcomes those seeking forgiveness and blessings. The church encourages fellowship and service. It believes God has great things in store for its future.

Jonathan Beckom is the Interim Pastor. The church’s website provides more information. You can find it at belleviewbc.org. The phone number is 703-768-4406. The email address is admin@belleviewbc.org.
