Founded in 1966, the BC Sports Hall of Fame started as a vision. Eric Whitehead and other sports enthusiasts wanted to preserve BC’s sporting heritage. The Hall first opened at the BC Pavilion on the Pacific National Exhibition grounds. In 1993, it found its permanent home here at BC Place.
