Baguio Villa’s story began in the late 1970s. New World Development completed it in December 1979. The estate features 33 blocks numbered 16 to 48. These blocks house a total of 1515 residential units. Imagine living here back then.

Only one-tenth of the 800,000 square feet was used for residential towers. Unit sizes range from 1,100 to 2,700 square feet. This offers ample space for families. Upper Baguio Villa includes blocks 19-27. Lower Baguio Villa includes blocks 16-18 and 28-48. Lower Baguio Villa is conveniently located near Cyberport.

Residents enjoy several facilities. Both Upper and Lower Baguio Villa have a swimming pool. Tennis courts and playgrounds are also available. A Shell gas station sits between the two sections. This is useful for residents with cars.

Transportation is readily available. Several minibuses serve Baguio Villa. Minibus 8 runs to Central in the morning. Minibus 8X runs to Central’s Exchange Square every 5 minutes. Minibus 28 connects Baguio Villa to Causeway Bay. It passes through Central and Cotton Tree Drive. Minibus 28S takes a similar route. However, it goes via Kennedy Road instead of Central. Minibus 28X offers an express service to Causeway Bay during peak hours. The HR42 shuttle bus goes to Kennedy Town MTR station. The Citybus route 73 bus to Stanley Market can be caught from Cyberport.

Baguio Villa experienced a tragic landslide on May 8, 1992. Torrential rains caused it. Four people died. This disaster led to Hong Kong’s rainstorm warning system. This system protects residents.

Baguio Villa is in Primary One Admission School Net 18. This net includes aided schools and Hong Kong Southern District Government Primary School. Education is readily accessible for families.
