In May 2015, with the presence of Zhang Linyi, the Education Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Rome, Aule I at Liceo Umberto I was officially inaugurated. This marked a significant moment for the school and its connection to the wider world. The Confucius Classrooms, including Aule I, are supervised by the Confucius Institute at the University of Turin. They are designed to be centers for learning, bridging the gap between Italian and Chinese cultures. These classrooms offer a range of educational and cultural activities.
