From atop Årstablick, a breathtaking vista unfolds. But did you know this vantage point also overlooks a vibrant hub of community life? Årstablick, more than just a scenic peak, is the heart of an organization dedicated to bringing people together. The Föreningen Årstablick, a non-profit association, hosts a lively calendar of events at the Årstaliden dance floor. Eleven or twelve dances each year fill the floor with music and movement, welcoming both members and non-members to join the fun. Beyond the dances, Årstablick embraces the spirit of community with Walpurgis Night and Midsummer celebrations, fostering connections among the residents of Årstaborna. The association’s commitment extends to preserving this cherished space. Thanks to generous donations and a successful fundraising event at Årsta Folkets Hus, a new roof now graces the Årstaliden dance floor. While the exact date of its installation remains undetermined, the dance floor reopens on April 25th, inviting eager hands to help prepare for the upcoming festivities. With Walpurgis Night on April 30th, Thursday dances commencing on May 22nd, and Midsummer on June 20th, Årstaliden promises a season of vibrant community celebrations. Årstablick, a place where scenic beauty meets the heart of community.
