Over forty years ago a small mission thrived. It was the humble beginning of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. This church in Washington D.C stands as a testament to faith’s enduring power.

The Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ wasn’t always a large congregation. It began in 1974 with only five members. Pastor Jose Luis Lozano and his wife were installed as temporary pastors. He’d been stationed in Washington D.C. by the Air Force. He and his family attended a local Pentecostal church. There he was asked to lead a small Brazilian mission.

Today the church boasts over 300 members. It’s a far cry from its modest beginnings. The growth reflects Pastor Lozano’s dedication. His unwavering belief in the power of God’s word impacted countless lives. He guided and supported many seeking a deeper spiritual connection.

Pastor Lozano’s impact extends beyond the church walls. Several sister churches were started. These churches spread God’s word to many states and countries. This exemplifies the church’s commitment to sharing its faith.

Assistant Pastor Carlos Hernandez also played a vital role. He arrived in the United States in 1980. He joined the Apostolic Church soon after. He was ordained in 1988. He now leads the Sunday School and the Apostolic Seminary. His passion for Christ has touched numerous lives. Over fifty of his family members accepted Christ because of his witness.

The Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ is more than a place of worship. It is a community. It’s a beacon of faith and a testament to the enduring power of prayer. Its growth reflects the dedication of its leaders and members. The church’s story is one of faith perseverance and unwavering love. It continues to inspire and uplift its members and the wider community. Its influence extends far beyond its Washington D.C location. The church’s legacy stands as a testament to the transformative power of faith.
