The Anton-Benya-Park is a vibrant space in Vienna, Austria. It was opened in 1990 by the Vienna Chamber of Labour in honor of Anton Benya, a famous Austrian labor leader. Before the park existed, it was the site of Baron Nathaniel Rothschild’s palace. During World War II the building was used as a Gestapo prison. After the war, it was purchased and demolished by the Vienna Chamber of Labour. In its place, a new building was erected, the Franz-Domes-Heim. However, after a short period, the building was demolished because of construction defects. Finally, in the 1980s, the Vienna Chamber of Labour built the Adolf-Czettel Educational Center, which included the Theater Akzent. The Anton-Benya-Park is a place where people can play basketball and football. It’s a relaxing place for people of all ages, offering a welcome escape from the bustling city.
