Two new buildings a taller one 18 stories high and a shorter L-shaped building with 9 floors. The design was chosen from a competition. C F Møller Architects won. The architects envisioned Alviks Torn inspired by the sharp rock formations rising from Lake Mälaren’s waters. This is reflected in its striking exterior. The facades are clad in terrazzo and white cement. Terrazzo a type of composite material is used for its aesthetic appeal. It’s a beautiful and durable material. It creates a modern look.
Alviks Torn houses 151 apartments. The top three floors have a single luxurious apartment each. Each apartment is 178 square meters large. They boast balconies offering views in two directions. The building’s location is superb. It sits between Alviks Torg and the water. Residents enjoy breathtaking views and excellent transport links.
The first residents moved in around September-October 2014. The penthouse apartment sold for 17.4 million kronor in 2014. This gave the buyer the entire floor to themselves. The views from the 18th floor are simply unforgettable. You can see Lilla Essingen the Hötorg skyscrapers Kaknästornet and even the NK clock. On a clear day you might even see Globen.
