Is it just me, or does this school building have a certain air of adventure about it? This is Adventure School. It’s a relatively young school, built in 1989. You might find it interesting that the school was named after one of Captain Cook’s ships. The founders saw learning as an adventure, a voyage of discovery. What better name for a school than Adventure, right? The school motto, “The Adventure Way”, emphasizes curiosity, creativity, cooperation, self-direction and self-awareness. The school is nestled in Whitby, Porirua, surrounded by bush-clad hills. Imagine the beautiful scenery and the fresh air that the students get to enjoy every day.
