Abundant Life Church of God is non-denominational. It holds charismatic-evangelical theology. Beliefs are rooted in the Reformation. The church embraces the Holy Spirit’s ministry and gifts.
Core beliefs include one God in three persons. These persons are Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God created everything. He wasn’t created. He is the source of all good.
The church believes God restores humanity through Jesus. Jesus died for sins. His blood paid for the human race. Salvation comes through faith. It is not earned by works.
The Holy Spirit empowers the church. He convicts the world of sin. He secures believers in Christ. Spiritual gifts are available for ministry.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It reveals God’s plan for people. People are born again through believing the Bible.
All people are made in God’s image. Sin separates them from God. Humanity is a race of spiritual rebels.
Pastor Karen Barnes leads Abundant Life. She assumed oversight after her husband’s death. She realigned the church under Dr. Curt L. McKay. It became Abundant Life Non-Denominational Church.
Pastor Karen believes in outreach. Members should serve inside and outside the church. This advances the Kingdom. She earned degrees in theology and Christian counseling.
Her son, Michael Quinton Barnes, is a great joy in her life.
