Adachi Municipal Senju Sakura Elementary School emerged from the merging of two schools. These were the former Senju Sixth and Seventh Elementary Schools. This unification happened in 1992. The school’s location is in Senju Sakuragi one-chome. The address is number 8-15.

The school’s history is rooted in a decision made in 1991. Adachi Ward decided on the name “Senju Sakura Elementary School.” August of that year saw the school badge decided upon. The school song followed in January 1992. Miyoko Nemoto wrote the lyrics. Ikuo Maruyama composed the music.

April 1 1992 marked the opening of Adachi Municipal Senju Sakura Elementary School.政男 Otera became the first principal. The school designated February 27 as its anniversary. This date commemorates the naming of the school.

In April 1994 the school moved to its new building. A ceremony marked the completion on April 27. The school celebrated its fifth anniversary in 1997. A children’s commemorative ceremony took place. Another ceremony commemorated the event. The school marked its tenth anniversary in 2001. A similar celebration occurred for the children.

The school launched its website in August 2004. In 2007 a gathering celebrated the 15th anniversary. October 15 2009 saw the start of Power-Up Time. Adachi Municipal Senju Sakura Elementary School celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2012. A commemorative ceremony involved the children. In 2017 they celebrated their 25th anniversary.

The school established a special support classroom in April 2017. It is called “Sukusuku.” Artificial turf construction on the school grounds happened in 2021. In 2022 Adachi Municipal Senju Sakura Elementary School celebrated its 30th anniversary.

The school has 21 classes as of July 2024. Eighteen are standard classes. Three are special support classes.
