Let’s step back in time to understand its beginnings. Shinden Elementary School opened its doors on April 1, 1981. It was separated from the Edogawa Municipal Dai-7 Nishi-Kasai Elementary School. At the time of opening, 397 children transferred from Dai-7 Nishi-Kasai Elementary School. The school had 14 classes and 518 students. A dedication ceremony marked the opening and completion of facilities on November 17 of the same year.

From the rooftop, one could see ships traveling in Tokyo Bay. Today, Shinden Elementary School is surrounded by community amenities. To the east is the Shinden Community Hall. To the west lies Shinden no Mori Park. To the south is the Shinden Sōgō Seibi Park. To the north is the Nishi-Kasai Disaster Prevention Park, complete with tennis courts.

It is about a 4 to 5 minute walk from bus stops 1, 2, and 3. From bus stop 4, it’s only a 2 to 3 minute walk. The Tokyo Metro Tozai Line Nishi-Kasai Station is about 21 minutes away on foot. The JR Keiyo Line Kasai-Rinkai Park Station is approximately 27 minutes away on foot.
