Opened in 2007, the Higashimatsudo Yuino Hana Park is no ordinary park. It’s a testament to community spirit, a place where people gather not just to enjoy the blossoms, but to connect with each other. Higashimatsudo Yuino Hana Park was created on privately owned land, generously developed and then donated to Matsudo City. The park’s name, “Yuino Hana,” meaning “flower of connection”, reflects this community focus. It symbolizes the bonds forged through shared appreciation of nature and the park itself. Higashimatsudo Yuino Hana Park spans about one hectare, a vibrant tapestry of flowers, herbs, and wildflowers. Rock gardens provide a tranquil backdrop, while benches and pergolas offer quiet spaces for reflection. The park also boasts a unique glass-fronted building, the “Magnolia House”. This multifunctional space serves as a meeting room, a lecture hall for flower arranging classes, and a relaxing rest area. Informative books and pamphlets on flowers and greenery are readily available. Higashimatsudo Yuino Hana Park is designed to be accessible to everyone, with facilities for people with disabilities. With a parking lot that can accommodate 40 cars and additional bicycle parking, it’s easy to reach. The park is open from 9 AM to 5 PM from March to October, and from 9 AM to 4:30 PM from November to February. The Magnolia House closes a bit earlier each day. The park is closed on Mondays and during the New Year period. This vibrant community hub offers more than just beautiful blooms.
