Originally, the school was part of Tokyo Metropolitan Kanamachi High School. A full-time business course was added. The school’s name changed to Tokyo Metropolitan Katsushika Commercial High School. Yamada Ichiro became the first principal. The school had nine business classes.
In April 1962, the school established its official symbols. These included the school badge, flag, and uniform. A full-time opening ceremony was held. May 1st became the school’s anniversary. The alumni association was founded that month. The first general meeting took place. Student council was established in May 1962. Construction of the new reinforced concrete school building began. The first phase was completed.
The school continued to expand. New construction phases added more facilities. A gymnasium was built. In 1971, lighting towers were installed. The school continued to evolve academically.

In recent years, Tokyo Metropolitan Katsushika Commercial Senior High School has embraced new initiatives. It became an “Active Learning Promotion Designated School” for three years. The school joined the Japanese Red Cross Society. It is a Tokyo Metropolitan branch for youth Red Cross schools. Tokyo Metropolitan Katsushika Commercial Senior High School also participates in the ALCM community project.
In 2019, the business course was revamped. A business course was introduced. In March 2020, the school held its last graduation ceremony. It was for the business and information processing departments. The school celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2022.
