“Where exactly was the Bushū-Tanaka Station跡?” That’s a question many have asked. Today, we stand at the former site of the Old Itsukaichi Railway’s Bushū-Tanaka Station跡. This spot holds a unique place in history.
The Itsukaichi Railway, the predecessor to the JR Itsukaichi Line, had its own distinct route. It ran parallel to the Ome Line between Haijima and Tachikawa. The Bushū-Tanaka Station跡 was located on this section.
The shortest distance between Ōmachi and Bushū-Tanaka was here. But where exactly was the Bushū-Tanaka Station跡 located? The station was near a branch in the road. It was in front of a building. It seems it was a bit closer to Haijima than initially thought.
Once, there was a material storage area. It held rails for construction. This area became a convenience store. Now, it is a parking lot. A vending machine has been here for over ten years. It still remains.
