The name “Nippon TV Studios” was decided through a public competition. The name comes from the area’s name “Bancho”. The studio has four studios: C1, C2, C3 and C4. C1 and C2 are the largest. They are 265 tsubo each. That is the size of three tennis courts.
Nippon TV Studios also has new features for 4K broadcasting. It employs a soft first story seismic isolation structure. This is a new earthquake countermeasure. The functions of the former Machida Building were taken over.
