Tokorozawa Civic Cultural Centre Muse is more than just a building. It is a hub of artistic expression. It stands proudly in Tokorozawa Saitama west of Tokyo.

The Tokorozawa Civic Cultural Centre Muse opened its doors in 1993. Since then it has been a beacon for music drama and art. The Tokorozawa Cultural Foundation operates this impressive complex. Locals often call it Tokorozawa Muse or simply Muse.

Inside the Tokorozawa Civic Cultural Centre Muse you will find several halls. The Ark Hall is the largest. It boasts 2002 seats and a magnificent pipe organ. Rieger Orgelbau crafted this organ in 1993. It features 5563 pipes and 75 stops. Musicians can play it using four keyboards and a pedal board.

The Marquee Hall seats 798 people. Its horseshoe shape creates an intimate atmosphere. The Cube Hall is smaller with 318 seats. It is perfect for chamber music performances. The Square serves as an exhibition gallery.

Many famous orchestras have graced the stages of Tokorozawa Civic Cultural Centre Muse. The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra has performed here. The Montreal Symphony Orchestra has also filled the halls with music.

Beyond concerts the Tokorozawa Civic Cultural Centre Muse is a popular filming location. Japanese TV dramas and movies often feature its halls. Sometimes even the route to Kōkū-kōen Station appears on screen.

In 2018 the Tokorozawa Civic Cultural Centre Muse underwent extensive renovations. It was closed for over a year. Workers improved the building’s earthquake resistance and updated its facilities.
