Seventy years ago a small congregation began. This is the story of Koganei Church. Located in Koganei city it started modestly. Women’s missionary groups held regular services. They used a building as a temporary preaching place. This lasted for about ten years. Monthly services and special events were held there.
After the war Koganei Church was established. It began a new chapter. In 1954 a church building was constructed. A rectory and a gardener’s house were also built. This was on the current site. In 1973 a church union was opened. It grew steadily over the years.

This happened in the same year the church buildings were finished. Finally in 1987 the church was completed. The church building rectory and gardener’s house were all finished.
