Wondering where your favorite TV shows are made? You are standing in front of TV Tokyo Tennozu Studio. It is a key hub for television production. This studio is located in Higashi-Shinagawa in Tokyo. It stands proudly on Tennozu Isle.

TV Tokyo needed a new space. Their old Shiba Park Studio was outdated. In 1995, they started a project for modernization. Digitalization trends pointed to BS broadcasting. A new studio was essential. After evaluating over 50 candidate sites they chose Higashi-Shinagawa.

Construction began in March 1998. It finished on December 8, 1999. The grand opening was December 12, 1999. The total project cost exceeded 12 billion yen. Shimizu Construction handled the design and construction.

The building has two underground floors. It also has twelve floors above ground. There is one floor in the tower roof. TV Tokyo Tennozu Studio includes two digital broadcast studios. There are also studio-related rooms and parking areas. Offices for related businesses are located here. You will also find residential units.

The TV Tokyo Tennozu Studio has two main studios. Studio 1 is 250 Tsubo. Studio 2 is 150 Tsubo. Both support HD broadcasting. They are designed for live broadcasts. A special program marked the opening day. It was a three-hour live broadcast.

Studio 1 is mainly used for large-scale productions. These include music shows. Some programs currently using Studio 1 are GODDOTAN and Sokora Made.

Studio 2 supports both HD and SD broadcasts. It mainly hosts information and variety shows. “Going Out! Adult Travelogue Heaven” currently uses this studio.

InterFM897 moved its headquarters to Tennozu Studio in 2009. They occupied the 7th floor.

TV Tokyo Tennozu Studio earned recognition. It received the 42nd BCS Award in 2001. This award highlights its architectural excellence.

TV Tokyo Business Service manages the building. Technomax handles the studio’s equipment. This ensures smooth operations. The studio continues to support diverse TV productions. It is a vital part of Tokyo’s broadcasting landscape.
