\u57fa\u7763\u6559\u548c\u5e73\u5802 shares a history with Shenzhen Christian Church. They were once a single entity. Its predecessor was the church at 22 Heping Road. The Rhenish Missionary Society rebuilt it in 1949.
During the Cultural Revolution in 1966 activities ceased. Staff returned home to farm. The church reopened on May 27 1984 after Deng Xiaoping’s return to politics.
In April 1997 the Heping Road church relocated. It moved to a rented industrial factory on Songyuan Road. This was due to city construction. Despite this, the congregation grew significantly. Sunday services swelled to over 3500 people.
In 1998 the government allocated land in Meilin for a new church. The Songyuan Road church maintained its services. In December 2002 the Heping Road church moved again. This time it moved from the rented factory. It relocated to a rented space in the Luohu District. The address was the second floor of the hexagonal building in the Cultural Garden on Beidou Road. This space covered 1148 square meters. It served as a temporary activity site. At this time it was renamed \u57fa\u7763\u6559\u548c\u5e73\u5802.
Despite the changes \u57fa\u7763\u6559\u548c\u5e73\u5802 continued close cooperation. It maintained unified management with Shenzhen Christian Church. This included church affairs and pastoral assignments.
Currently \u57fa\u7763\u6559\u548c\u5e73\u5802 hosts various activities. There are two Sunday services. Approximately 2000 people attend. There are also various fellowship groups. These include the Sharon Fellowship on Saturday mornings. The youth fellowship meets on Sunday afternoons. Weekday activities include sisters’ fellowships. There are also Teochew gatherings and Bible study sessions. The church has three choirs. It organizes two seeker classes each year. Around 250 people get baptized annually. There are three resident pastors and one administrator.
