In 642 AD a Buddhist image arrived in Japan. This marked the beginning of Zenkoji Temple. It’s a story of faith resilience and mystery. The temple stands as a testament to enduring spirituality.

There are even 39 temple lodgings offering overnight stays and daily prayers. Daikanjin Temple protects and administers Zenkoji Temple. It also offers sutra copying Zen meditation and yoga sessions.
