Welcome to the area around \u53e4\u9418\u6d1e in Shenzhen. I am excited to tell you the story of this special place. This cave is not actually called \u53e4\u9418\u6d1e. It is actually called Zhijin Cave. Zhijin Cave means Weaving Gold Cave.
Zhijin Cave is located in Guizhou Province in China. It sits in Minzhai Village. This village is in Zhijin County. The cave is a key tourism spot. It is about 23 km from the county town. Guiyang, the provincial capital, is 166 km away.
Originally, Zhijin Cave was named Daji Cave. This translates to 打鸡洞. That means cave of Daji. The Zhijin County Tourism Resources Exploration Team discovered it in 1980.
Zhijin Cave has three layers. It stretches 13.5 km. The total area covers 7 km2. It is thought to have the largest unsupported roof span of any cave globally.
Inside Zhijin Cave, you can find more than 120 crystalline formations. There are stalactites too. One highlight is the Silver Rain Tree. It is a 17 m tall flower-like crystal. This crystal is transparent and rare.
The area around Zhijin Cave is known as the Guizhou Zhijin Cave Scenic Area. The Chinese State Council declared it a national tourist site in 1988. The area spans 307 km2. Other attractions include Zhijin Old Town and Luojie River Scenic Area.
