Adventure Hill has six large play structures. These aren’t ordinary playgrounds. The designs reflect local history. They evoke images of old tombs. They recall the Edo period.
One structure is the Cylindrical Haniwa Tower. It looks like haniwa. Haniwa are clay figures from tombs in Adachi. Kids climb nets to reach a tube slide. This slide makes playing even more fun. Weekends get busy here.
Another play area is the Seining Net. It brings to mind fishing in the old days. People used to fish in the nearby Keranaga River. Even simple things are fun here. Kids race to the top.
The Adventure Hill is inspired by castles from the Warring States period. Inside, nets create climbing challenges. The slide has a gentle slope.
These unique playthings incorporate local history. They are designed to spark kids’ imaginations. Adachi’s mayor celebrated its opening. He noted its historical themes.
Adventure Hill welcomes children ages six to twelve. Younger kids can play too. Adults should supervise them. The playground is open from 10 AM to 5 PM. It closes an hour earlier in winter.
Need a break? A lawn is right next to Adventure Hill. You can relax there. Picnics and ball games are welcome. However, no food, tents or recreational sheets are allowed at Adventure Hill. There is a baby care room. It has air conditioning. There are facilities for changing diapers. You can also prepare milk here.
There is also the Nishiarai Children’s Hall. It is a short walk from Adventure Hill. It has books, workshops, and playrooms.
Adventure Hill sits within Toneri Park. The park has different parking lots. The third parking area is closest to the playground. Parking costs 300 yen per hour. A day pass costs 1200 yen.
