“Another church?” you might ask. This is not just another church. This is the \u4e2d\u91ce\u5cf6\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u6559\u4f1a.
\u4e2d\u91ce\u5cf6\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u6559\u4f1a stands as a beacon of faith in the community. It has a rich history. The church’s story began in 1951.
Otto Mojimann a missionary from the Liebenzell Mission in West Germany arrived. He started preaching in \u4e2d\u91ce\u5cf6. This marked the beginning of the church’s presence.
The first baptism was held in the Tama River on September 28 1952. Four people were baptized. This date is celebrated as the church’s founding day. \u4e2d\u91ce\u5cf6\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u6559\u4f1a was officially established.
The first church building was completed in 1954. A dedication ceremony was held on Christmas Day. This was a significant milestone for the growing congregation of \u4e2d\u91ce\u5cf6\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u6559\u4f1a.
Since 1992 \u4e2d\u91ce\u5cf6\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u6559\u4f1a has been affiliated with the Japan Evangelical Church Association.
In 1986 the church received certification as a religious corporation. A new church hall was completed in September 1987. This provided a modern space for worship and community activities.
Kokusho Hiroshi served as pastor from 2002. He followed Ishida Hiroshi. Ishida Hiroshi was pastor for 19 years. He served until 2002.
The church acquired land and buildings adjacent to the church in 2010. These were from the Liebenzell Mission. A parsonage and education hall named Olive Hall were completed. These additions enhanced the church’s facilities.
\u4e2d\u91ce\u5cf6\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u6559\u4f1a is located in the Tama Ward of Kawasaki City. You can find it at 6-14-3 Nakano Shima. The church is a member of the Japan Evangelical Christian Church Association.
The current pastor of \u4e2d\u91ce\u5cf6\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u6559\u4f1a is Kokubu Hiroshi. The church continues to be an important part of the local Christian community.
