Chuo Animal College is part of a larger educational foundation. This foundation includes a Japanese language school, Chuo College of Technology, and its Osaka branch. Imagine graduating and having priority admission to any of these schools! Chuo Animal College opened its doors in April 2003. It has a clear mission: to cultivate kindness, common sense, and responsibility in its students. The goal is to nurture individuals who contribute to the animal industry and foster a better relationship between humans and animals. Chuo Animal College isn’t just about textbooks and lectures. It’s a place where future groomers, veterinary nurses, and animal trainers hone their skills. The college offers six specialized departments, including Dog Grooming, Animal Nursing, and Animal Breeding. Each department has two or three-year programs. Some even offer advanced research options. There are two buildings: the main building with hands-on training rooms. And a separate building for lectures. It maintains separate dormitories for men and women. The women’s dormitory, “Quadrangle Shimo Ochiai,” can house up to 150 students. The men’s dormitory, “Oji Dormitory,” accommodates 155 students. The college also has a retreat in Karuizawa. This center offers a chance to connect with nature and learn about Japanese traditions. Students can explore the Minamigaoka Art Museum and witness traditional performances at Sengataki. Chuo Animal College is truly a unique institution. It provides a comprehensive education.
