“Mitsuhara? Never heard of it.”

That is what many visitors say. Yet it is a vital part of Tokyo’s industrial landscape. Today we explore Mitsuhara Industrial Park. It is a key element in the city’s manufacturing and logistics network.

Mitsuhara Industrial Park stretches across Tokyo’s Ome City. It spans from Imaicho 3-chome to Imadera 5-chome. This industrial area is directly connected to the Metropolitan Inter-City Expressway. Also it links to the Ome Interchange.

This location is strategic. It facilitates easy transport of goods. Mitsuhara extends west of Imai. It reaches south of Fujihashi. The park also covers east of Imadera.

Here you will find a mix of businesses. These range from transport companies to manufacturers. Hitachi once had a factory here.

The roads within Mitsuhara vary. Some are wide. However many are not wide enough for two lanes of traffic. Public buses serve the area. During rush hour private cars add to the congestion.

Large commercial facilities are nearby. These include Foreo Ome Imai and Beisia. Kains is also close.

The name “Mitsuhara” has an interesting origin. It comes from the Ome eastern Mitsuhara Land Improvement Project. The project included three “hara” field areas. These were Nakahara, Higashihara and Shinmeihara.

The city decided on urban planning in December 1967. In April 1969 the Ome eastern Mitsuhara Land Improvement Project gained approval. The development covered 147.85 hectares. About 37.53 hectares were for the industrial park. Land readjustment finished in March 1979. Mitsuhara Industrial Park was completed in October 1982.

Several companies operate within Mitsuhara. These include manufacturers.

There is Taiyo Yuden Mobile Technology. Also there is Sailor Fountain Pen. Bunka Printing and Ome Electronics are here too. Tama Services also has a presence. Transport companies are based here as well.

You can find large retail stores less than five kilometers away. There is Iwa蔵 Onsen. Also there is Kains Ome Inter Store. Beisia Ome Inter Store is nearby. You can find Nojima Ome Inter Store too.

To get to Mitsuhara Industrial Park you can drive. You can take general roads. Also you can use trains or buses.

Mitsuhara is more than just factories. It is a testament to Tokyo’s industrial planning. It showcases the city’s ability to adapt and grow. It stands as a reminder of Tokyo’s manufacturing might. It contributes to the region’s economic vitality.
