The Jesuits are known for their international missionary work. Today, the Society has approximately 20,000 members worldwide. They are involved in a wide range of activities including chaplaincy, education, research, social justice initiatives, writing, and publishing. Here at the 上石神井修道院 (Kamishakujii Monastery), the spirit of the Society thrives. They work tirelessly to bring positive change to the modern world.
