“Where is it?” you ask, peering at the map. “It’s right here, in the heart of Tel Aviv,” I say, pointing to a little symbol on the map. You follow my finger, your eyes widening. It’s a sculpture! A giant, steel sculpture that stands tall and proud. You can hardly believe it’s real! Well, this is the “Kitat” by Igael Tumarkin. It was created in 1993. It’s a beautiful and powerful symbol. Imagine you’re a bird flying high above Tel Aviv. Your wings flap, taking you over the bustling streets. You see the glistening Mediterranean Sea in the distance. And as you dip down low, you spot the “Kitat” shimmering in the sun. You see its strength, its beauty, and its defiance. It’s a symbol of resilience and hope.
