“The Tel Aviv International Synagogue is a vibrant, full service Modern Orthodox synagogue.” Have you ever heard that phrase? The Tel Aviv International Synagogue, right here on Frishman Street, is the heart of central Tel Aviv. The building itself is historic. It’s the Beit El Synagogue, built in the 1930s. But it was in 2009 that Rabbi Ariel Konstantyn, the architect of this spiritual revival in this bustling city, changed everything. Rabbi Konstantyn, who had lived in the United States, brought new life to the synagogue. He wanted to create a space where immigrants, Olim, and Israelis could gather in peace, where they could find true connection. He installed air conditioning, hired a chazzan and choir, introduced modernizations, and even started a tradition of Friday night dinners. Now, every week, services overflow out onto the streets. The synagogue is a beacon of hope, a place where people can find solace, community, and faith.
