Later, it moved to Yoyogi.
The Japanese Sword Museum preserves and displays swords. It is one of the few museums specializing in Japanese swords. Enthusiasts donate works for storage and management. The old museum closed in March 2017. It was located in Yoyogi. The new Japanese Sword Museum opened in January 2018 in Sumida.
