Is this the largest library in all of Taiwan? We are standing here in front of the NTU Library. It houses an impressive collection of over 2,400,000 volumes. That includes books, periodicals, and even audiovisual materials. The NTU Library is a testament to the intellectual spirit of Taiwan. Founded in 1928, this library has grown to become a cornerstone of academic life in Taiwan.

But the NTU Library isn’t just about quantity. It’s also home to a treasure trove of rare books. Over 50,000 of them, in Chinese and other languages, are housed within these walls. They include the Tan-Hsin Tang An, Ming dynasty books, and the Rekidai Hoan. Whether you’re a scholar, a student, or just someone who appreciates the weight of history and knowledge, the NTU Library is an experience you won’t forget.
