The Dahan Bridge stretches across the Dahan River. It connects the districts of Banqiao and Xinzhuang in New Taipei City. Dahan Bridge is a vital link for the community. It was built to alleviate traffic congestion on Provincial Highway No. 1 in Xinzhuang and the Xinzhuang Bridge. This bridge stands as a testament to Taiwan’s commitment to infrastructure development. It also fosters seamless connectivity between these two dynamic districts. The Dahan Bridge was constructed in 1983 and officially opened in 1987. This impressive bridge spans a length of 1,230 meters and boasts a width of 30 meters. Its approach roads are just as impressive in scale. The Banqiao section stretches for 800 meters with a width of 80 meters. Xinzhuang’s section spans an even greater distance of 2,170 meters. This section boasts a width of 40 to 50 meters. Today, Dahan Bridge holds a pivotal role in Banqiao’s transportation network. It provides access to National Highway No. 1’s Zhongshan Freeway and the crucial east-west expressway known as Provincial Highway 64. The Taipei Metro’s Circular Line even runs alongside Dahan Bridge, showcasing its significance in the region’s transportation landscape.
