This architectural gem was originally designed by Samuel Roder, who drew inspiration from the Tifereth-Israel Temple in Cleveland, Ohio. The Beth El Synagogue, now a core part of the Museu Judaico, holds deep historical significance for the Jewish community in São Paulo. It served as a spiritual and social hub for decades, hosting countless Brit Milah ceremonies, Bar Mitzvahs, weddings, and Yskor memorial prayers. The number seven, imbued with symbolic meaning in Jewish tradition, is reflected in the seven sides of the building’s base and towers.
