The Paróquia Divino Salvador stands as a unique testament to faith and architectural ingenuity. Its story begins much earlier than this striking structure, however. In 1955, a humble chapel stood on this very spot, serving the community with masses celebrated in Latin. This continued until 1966 when the liturgical language transitioned to Portuguese. The original chapel was eventually demolished in 1973, making way for the distinctive hexagonal temple we see today. The Paróquia Divino Salvador, completed in 1976, is more than just a building. It’s a symbol of the community’s evolving faith and its embrace of modernity. Notice the prominent Cruz de Dozulé standing proudly in front of the church. Its measurements are deeply symbolic, connected to the dimensions of Calvary, adding another layer of meaning to this sacred space.
